Spring Softball!

Our weeknights have been revolving around Andrew's three (he rarely plays on our co-ed work team) softball teams lately! He and our neighbor Brett play together on Monday and Tuesday nights (2 games each night). The Monday night team is Division 1 and they play in Spanish Fork (they are called "Whammy" and wear red). Tuesdays team is Division 2 and play at the fields right next to our house in Orem (they are the "Dragons" (we are working on a name change for next year... no offense, Rodney!) and wear blue). He has been having a blast! Check out some of the pictures from this season...

A few Friday night's ago, our friend Kyle and I decided it was time to play some Idiot (one of our favorite card games... not much skill involved but super fun)! So, at the last second, we threw together a game (complete with delicious snacks) at our house. Cooper played with Abby (our cat) while Justin, Lindy, Kyle, Andrew and I played cards and Dr. Mario (I don't know how but every game night turns into a heated Dr. Mario tourney at our house!). Andrew still remains undefeated in a series of three (though I did beat him once) much to Lindy's dismay (she almost had him once!). Another event that seems to transpire when Andrew and Justin get together: wrestling. Justin beat Andrew at an arm-wrestle and he still can't believe it! According to Andrew, he had Justin beat until the last second when his elbow twisted wrong and his arm collapsed. Though it bruised his pride, he still has the wrestling win over Justin in Moab to hold onto. We had a really good time and Andrew learned it is not okay to call an eight-month pregnant lady "large with child".

Memorial Day!

Since we have been out of town every weekend so far this month, we decided Memorial Day should be spent at home this year. We had a pretty low-key and relaxing weekend. Here is a breakdown... Friday night we went with Jen, Cory, Calvin, Preston, and Evrhet to see "Angels and Demons". It was pretty good? Saturday we celebrated Christopher's birthday at the Marriot's neighboor's pool (which is more like a private island), ran errands, and played Battle of the Sexes with Jen and our neighbors (Evrhet and Jaicy and Brett and Annie). Sunday we went to church and meetings, Jen cooked a delicious Roast dinner, and we ended the night at the Clarke's (Brett and Annie's) with a serious game night! Finally, we slept in Monday! Brett and Annie took us up past Squaw Peak for a little outdoor adventure. We drove until we hit snow and then got out and hiked around. When we got home, we broke out the Clarke's BBQ and had a little neighborhood block party. It was a beautiful day! We ended the night with a bike ride (the Clarke's and Calvin went with us to purchase some new bikes (Andrew didn't know he wanted)). We had a nice weekend! Check out the pictures...
